Amend the bill by Striking out all after the enacting clause and inserting the fowing.
That upon all contracts hereafter made, the folowing property shall be reserved from execution, and Sale, Each person whose known occupation
is farming, shall be entitled to one work horse plough & Geer, or in lieu of the horse one Yoke of Oxen, Chain and Yoke. Each Mechanic his necessary
tools. Each Phisician or Surgeon, his instruments, medicines, and medical & surgical books. Each Judge
of a court, Solicitor in Chancery, or Attorney at law their Law Books. Provided they
use ordinary diligence in their ^several^ avocations, and not otherwise. And in case any sherriff, Constable, or other officer, shall sell any of the aforesaid property contrary to
^the^ provisions of this act, such officer shall be liable in the manner and to the extent
provided in the nineteenth Section of the act to which this is a Supplement.
Sec[Section]. 2. That this act shall take effect, and be in force from and after the first of
March next.
