This Indenture made the tenth day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and thirty three between George Warburton of the County of Sangamon and State of Illinois of the one part & Hezekiah King of St Louis and State of Missouri of the part Witnesseth: that the said George Warburton for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained & sold & by these presents do grant bargain & sell unto the said Hezekiah King all that certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County of Sangamon and State of Illinois known and described as follows to wit, the undivided half of the South east fractional quarter of section No fourteen township No eighteen North, Range, No seven west containing one hundred and fifty two acres.1 To have and to hold to him the said Hezekiah King his heirs and assigns forever the above described premises, together with all and singular the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the said George Warburton does hereby for himself his heirs, executors and administrators covenant to and with the said Hezekiah King his heirs and assigns forever to warrant and defend the title of said land against the claim or claims of all persons claiming or to claim title to the same. In Testimony whereof the said George Warburton hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.
