Resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring herein, That the standing2 committees of both Houses on Finance be instructed to examine the Auditor’s and Treasurer’s offices, and report the result of their labors to their respective Houses, before the 14th January, 1839.3
1On December 31, 1838, Robert Blackwell introduced the resolution in the Senate. On January 2, 1839, the Senate amended the resolution and then adopted it as amended. The House adopted the resolution on January 3. The House Committee on Finance reported back to the House on January 12.
