Mr. McCLERNAND moved that it be laid on the table, and 150 copies be printed.
Mr. LINCOLN moved to refer the bill to the committee on finance.
Mr. McCLERNAND then moved to refer and print.
Mr. LINCOLN was opposed to the printing; he questioned if the bill was of sufficient importance.
The question was then taken separately on printing, and lost—ayes 38, nays 45.
Mr. DODGE then moved to print 100 copies, which question pending,
