Lincoln Republican Club of McLean County

The Lincoln Republican Club of McLean County was active in Bloomington politics during at least the campaigns of 1858 and 1860. It was created in the summer of 1858 by reorganizing a Fremont Republican Club which had been active during the campaign of 1856. William C. Hobbs was unanimously elected president upon the club’s reorganization, and William McCullough and Linus Graves were elected first and second vice presidents, respectively.
