The firm of Moore, Morton & Company was a land agency in Quincy, Illinois. The firm began as Tillson, Moore & Company in around 1834. John Tillson, head of the firm, retired in 1836, and the name of the company changed to Moore, Morton & Company. Francis C. Moore and Lloyd Morton operated the firm. It handled more than half of all the bounty lands patented to soldiers of the War of 1812.
