Adams, Jacob

Jacob Adams was a farmer. In 1836, he married Elizabeth Furry of Maryland, with whom he had twelve children. He moved to Pine Creek Township in Ogle County, Illinois in the fall of 1843, where he eventually acquired 220 acres of land. In 1850, he owned $2,700 in real estate. By 1860, his real estate was valued at $7,000 and he owned another $1,500 in personal property.
