Antle moved to Illinois when he was sixteen years of age. In January 1838, he married Nancy Duncan, with whom he had eight children. In 1846, he moved to Jefferson County, Iowa, purchasing a farm. In 1860, he was farmer near Jackson, Keokuk County, Iowa, and owned real estate valued at $900 and a personal estate of $300. He eventually sold his property in Iowa and moved back to Sangamon County, Illinois, settling near Salisbury. Henry remained in Salisbury for the rest of his life.
