Baxter, Abner

By 1834, Baxter lived in a part of Sangamon County, Illinois, that would later become Menard County. Soon after 1840, he had moved to nearby Mason County, where he was a farmer. Baxter also served as a county commissioner for Mason County from 1843 to 1846.
