Chrisman, Isaac N. (Christman)

After living in Morgan County for a time, Isaac and his brother St. Clair Chrisman operated the store in New Salem that Abraham Lincoln would later run. Chrisman also served as the village's Postmaster from November 1831 to May 1833, when he was succeeded by Lincoln.
