Clarke, Hollis J.

Hollis J. Clarke was a farmer and town official in Northwood, New Hampshire, and the brother of Charles J. F. Clarke. In February 1836, he married Frances S. Stevens, with whom he had two children. In 1841, 1842, and 1845, he served as town clerk of Northwood, and in 1843 and 1844, he was a selectman. In 1850, Clarke was farming and owned real property valued at $3,500. By 1860, he owned real estate valued at $2,500 and had a personal estate of $1,000.
