Corneau, John A.

With George Forquer, Corneau was a partner in J. A. Corneau & Co., a mercantile and general store in Springfield, Illinois, from 1836 to 1837. In 1837, he married Rebecca H. Gibbs near Philadelphia. Corneau was a Whig and an officer in the Springfield Clay Club.
