Sarah , or Sally, McDaniel married Thomas Correll in Harrison County, Kentucky, in 1830. They moved to Sangamon County, Illinois, that same year, and settled near Mechanicsburg. In 1850, Sarah and her husband lived on a farm in Sangamon County with their eight children, all of whom were born in Illinois. They owned real estate valued at $5,000. By 1860, the Corrells owned real estate valued at $14,000 and had a personal estate of $2,000.
