Constant, William
Flourished: Sangamon County, Illinois
Constant came to Illinois in 1824 and settled in Sangamon County, Illinois, east of Springfield. In 1830, he had twelve other individuals living in his household. Constant volunteered for service in the Black Hawk War, serving as a surgeon's mate in both the 1831 and 1832 campaigns. He farmed in eastern Sangamon County until his death.
