Davis, Jeremiah W.

Died: 1863-07-26 Cass County, Illinois

Davis moved to what would become Cass County, Illinois, in 1829 with his parents. He started his own farm when he turned twenty and remained in agriculture for the rest of his life. In 1836, he married Cassandra E. Gumm, with whom he had nine children. Jesse Gumm was his father-in-law. Davis owned 1,000 acres of land at the time of his death.
