Davis, Cyrus A.

In Kentucky, Davis married Diana R. Montague, with whom he would eventually have eleven children. In 1832, he moved from Kentucky to Illinois and eventually settled in Carrollton, where he started his own medical practice. In addition to working full-time as a physician for most of his life, he also represented Greene County in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1836-38. Davis was a Freemason and was master of the Carrollton Lodge at the time of his death.
