Doremus, John C.

Flourished: 1838-1845 Springfield, Illinois

In 1838, Doremus relocated from Jacksonville to Springfield, Illinois, where he began practicing law. In 1842 and 1843, he served as city clerk as well as city attorney. Doremus practiced law in Springfield until at least 1845, after which he moved South and became a clergyman.
