Dunlap, Samuel (IL State Representative)

Dunlap served as a county official for Lawrence County between 1821-49. He worked as county surveyor for Lawrence County and platted Charlottesville. He married Lucinda Cunningham in 1833. In 1840, Dunlap lived in Lawrence County and had five people in his household. Dunlap represented Lawrence County in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1840-42. He represented Crawford, Jasper, part of Richland, and Lawrence counties in the Illinois Senate from 1844-46. He won reelection and represented Crawford, Jasper, part of Richland, and Lawrence counties again in the Illinois Senate from 1846-48.
