Feaman, Jacob
Born: 1792-XX-XX Virginia
Feaman moved to Randolph County, Illinois and worked as a hatter some time before 1830. In 1836, he purchased 40 acres of land in neighboring Jackson County. Feaman represented Randolph County in the Illinois Senate from 1840 to 1844. In 1844, he served as a juror in a U.S. Circuit Court case where Abraham Lincoln worked as the defendant's attorney. Feaman was register of the General Land Office in Kaskaskia from 1845 to May, 1850. From 1849 to 1854, Feaman purchased numerous tracts of land in Randolph and Washington counties. In 1860, Feaman was living in Kaskaskia, Illinois.
