Jouetta D. Finney was the wife of John Finney, with whom she had at least five children. Born Jouetta Davis, she was the daughter of James E. Davis and the niece of Harrison W. Davis. After her marriage, Jouetta Finney moved to New Orleans, where she resided for the remainder of her life. In 1850, she and her family were living in the Fourth Ward. By 1860, she had relocated to the First Ward.
