Henderson, John W.

Henderson moved to Stark County, Illinois, in 1836. In 1841, he was an early purchaser of town lots in Toulon. Henderson served as Stark County recorder from 1843 to 1847, and sheriff from 1844 to 1848. He served in the Illinois House of Representatives, from 1849 to 1850. Henderson was a temperance advocate and a Whig. In 1850, he was a farmer in Stark County and owned $5,000 worth of real estate.
