Hulsey, Mary

Mary Hulsey was a postmistress and the wife of Joel Hulsey, a pioneer Baptist preacher in Logan County, Illinois, and one of the early pastors of the Atlanta Baptist Church. Prior to moving to Logan County, Joel and Mary Hulsey lived in Kentucky, where Mary gave birth to the couple's four children. Mary served as postmistress of Atlanta from 1849 until her death.
