The second son of Abraham and Mary Lincoln, Edward (Eddy) Baker Lincoln was named for Lincoln's political associate and fellow Springfield lawyer, Edward D. Baker. Eddy was often ill - finally succumbing to pulmonary tuberculosis shortly before his fourth birthday.
