Lincoln, Abraham (cousin)

Abraham Lincoln was a first cousin of President Abraham Lincoln and eldest son of Mordecai Lincoln. In 1819, he married Elizabeth Lucretia Mudd in Washington County, Kentucky. Around 1830, he moved with his family to Illinois, settling in Hancock County. In 1835 and 1836, Lincoln purchased approximately 135 acres in an area that would become Fountain Green Township. In 1850, he was farming in Hancock County and owned real estate valued at $2,200.
