Long, Thomas
Flourished: Sangamon County, Illinois
Long was a private in Abraham Lincoln's company of the 4th Illinois Regiment of Mounted Volunteers during the Black Hawk War. He remained in the company until discharged on May 27, 1832. He reenlisted on June 2 as a corporal in Charles R. Peirce's company, which was mustered out of service on June 22, 1832.
