Peachy was the older sister of Abraham Lincoln's close friend Joshua F. Speed. She married Austin Peay, and they lived in Louisville until he died in 1850. Peachy moved back to Farmington, the Speed family plantation, for several years, and then spent the rest of her life living in Louisville.
