Pollock, James (PA)

Pollock graduated from Princeton College in 1831, studied law, and was admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania in 1833. He practiced law in Milton before being elected as a Whig to the U.S. House of Representatives, where he served from 1844 to 1849. After serving as a district judge, he was elected governor of Pennsylvania in 1854, in which capacity he served until 1858.
