Saltmarsh, Orlando

Orlando Saltmarsh was a contractor who spent most of his working life establishing postal routes for the United States government. He married Sarah Goodrich, with whom he had three children. In 1835, Orlando and his brother D'Alanson moved from their homes in Pennsylvania to the South, spending the next several years creating postal routes in Georgia and Texas.
