Taylor, Thomas M.

Thomas M. Taylor was a supporter of temperance. In January 1853, he participated in a statewide convention of temperance delegates that was held in Springfield, Illinois. He also attended a lecture on temperance delivered by Reverend James Smith of Springfield's First Presbyterian Church.
