Rio Grande

Known in Mexico as the Rio Bravo del Norte, the Rio Grande is a large river that rises in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado and flows south-southeast to empty into the Gulf of Mexico at Brownsville, Texas. Its current southern border of Texas and of the United States was in dispute during the Mexican War.
