Chap. II. — An Act for the Relief of Reuben Perry and Thomas P. Ligon.
The Secretary of the Treasury to ascertain the cost of the stone cornice on the branch mint at Charlotte, N.C.
Amount found due to be paid R. Perry and T. P. Ligon.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to ascertain the cost of the stone cornice upon the branch mint erected a Charlotte, in the State of North Carolina, under a contract made by the United States in October, eighteen hundred and thirty-five, with Reuben Perry and Thomas P. Ligon, and, if he shall find that the aforesaid stone cornice was substituted by proper authority, and was beneficial to the building, shall pay the said cost to the said Perry and Ligon in full compensation for said stone cornice.
