AN ACT declaring the Road from Mount Vernon to New Nashville a State Road.

Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the road as now laid out from Mount Vernon in Jefferson county, to New Nashville in Washington county, be, and the same is hereby declared a State road.
This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
Approved, Feb. 6, 1835.
1On January 16, 1835, Stinson H. Anderson of the House of Representatives presented the petition of sundry citizens of Jefferson County requesting a certain state road therein named. The House referred the petition to a select committee. Anderson from the select committee introduced HB 139 in the House on January 21. The House passed it on January 24. The Senate concurred on January 31. On February 6, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
