Sec[Section]. 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That Thomas G. Hawley, Joseph Burrough and Ninian W. Approved, Dec. 28, 1835.
1Nathaniel Buckmaster introduced HB 21 in the House of Representatives on December 15, 1835. On December 18, the House referred the bill to a select committee, which reported back the bill with an amendment the same day. The House approved the amendment and then passed the bill as amended. The bill is largely omitted from the Senate Journal, so its progress through that chamber is unclear. On December 28, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
