Sec[Section] 1st Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois Represented in the General Assembly, That the act approved the 24th of January 1835 appointing commissioners to Locate a State Road therein named be
and the same is hereby declared to be in full force and effect Provided the said commissioners
shall Locate the same within one year from the passage of this act
Sec. 2. That James Riggin and William Welch of the county of St Clair, and Gershom Flagg and Saml Segbole of the county of Madison, be and they are hereby appointed commissioners to view mark and Locate a road from
Lebanon to Lower Alton on the Mississippi River
Sec 3. the said commissioners or any two of them shall meet in the Town of Lebanon within one year from the passage of this act, and shall before entering, on the duties
assigned them take an oath before some Justice of the Peace of the county in which
they meet faithfully and impartially to perform the duties assigned them by this act
and proceed to mark and Locate said Road on the nearest and most eligable route.
Sec 4th The said commissioners shall cause a true report of said Road signed by them to be
Lodged with each of the county commissioners courts in the counties through which
it may pass which Road when Laid out as aforesaid shall be deemed a public State Road,
and the county commissioners of the counties through which said Road may be

Located shall appoint supervisors and cause it to be opened and kept in repair as
other public Roads, and the said commissioners shall receive out of the treasury of
the county in which they reside one Dollar per day for the aforesaid services
