An Act suplemental to an act entitled “An Act concerning public Records” approved February 9th 1835.
Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois represented in the general assembly that . . . that second section of the act to which . . . suplement, which requires the recorder . . . Madison County to transcribe certain . . . be construed to mean deeds for lands lyin[g] in Madison County
Sec[Section] 2. That the Governor of this state is hereby authorised to cause the said deeds to be transcribed as required by the act to which this is
a suplement, and in case the said recorder of Madison County shall neglect or refuse to transcribed the said deeds within three months from the
passage of this act, the Governor is hereby authorised to employ a suitable person to make such transcripts transcribe the same, and it shall be the duty of the said recorder of Madison County ^to^ give the person so^employed by the^ appointed by employed by the Governor access to the record Books in which the said deeds are
Recorded.
Sec 3. That the Governor is hereby authorised to allow the person employed by him to transcribe the deeds aforesaid a Just compensation
