Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the people of the State of Illinois Represented in the General Assembly That Henry Snyder, John Lee and Elisha Freeman, be and are hereby appointed Commissioners to view and relocate that part of the
State Road, leading from Paris in Edgar County to Decatur in Macon County, which lies between the bridges across West Okaw and the Town of Decatur
Sec. 2. Said commissioners shall meet at the Town of Decatur on the first Wednesday in April next or within Sixty days thereafter, and after taking
an oath before some Justice of the Peace to faithfully and impartially discharge the
duties enjoined on them by this act, shall commense at the East end of the Main East and West Street, and locate said road on the most
suitable ground from the end of said Street to the bridge across the Sangamon River at or near Allens and Reads Mills, and from said Bridge on the nearest and best route
to the Bridge across West Okaw

Sec. 3. Said Commissioners shall within Twenty days after said location cause a survey
or plat of said Road to be lodged with the Clerk of the County Commissioners Court for Macon County, and the said Road is hereby declared a State Road and shall be opened and kept in
repair in the same manner as all other State Roads, and the County Commissioners Court of Macon County shall allow said reviewers a reasonable compensation for their services
Sec. 4. That so much of the old State Roa[d] as lies between Decatur and the Bridge across the West Okaw is hereby vacated
This act to take effect & be in force from & after its passage
