Sec[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois Represented in the General Assembly That Josephus Hewitt be, and he is hereby Authorised and Empowered to examine, audit, and adjust, the fee Bills of William Butler, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Sangamon County, for Services rendered by the said William Butler, and by Charles R. Matheny predecessor of the said William Butler, Respectively as Clerk of said Court, in all cases in which the president, Directors, & Co. of the State Bank of Illinois, were a party, so far as said services were rendered for said Bank And for which it is, or would be liable as such party
Sec 2 The amount found due and unpaid to the said William Butler upon such Adjustment, shall be certified by the said Hewitt to the Auditor of Public Accounts under his hand and seal And the said Auditor shall file said Certificate And shall therefor issue his warrant upon the Treasury for such amount in favor of said William Butler
