Sec[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois represented in the General Assembly That, Matthew Cyrus of the County of Morgan having adopted Watson James Philley as a son, it is hereby declared that the name of the said Watson James Philley be changed to Watson James Philley Cyrus, and by that name he is hereby declared able, and capable in law to purchase, hold, grant and convey real and personal property, and to sue and be sued, and to do all other acts as fully and effectually as he could do by his former name.
