AN ACT to alter and amend “an act relating to the Gallatin Saline, and the lands belonging to the same, approved January 16th 1836.”
Act repealed.
$200 on road from Kaskaskia.
$100 on same to Mary’s river
$200 on same to De Gaugmer creek.
To be drawn by said commissioners.
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That so much of the

act relating to the Gallatin Salines, and the lands belonging to the same, approved January 16 1836, as appropriates five hundred dollars
to the county of Randolph, to build a bridge across Mary’s river, be and the same is hereby repealed, and that the same be appropriated as follows
to wit: the sum of two hundred dollars on the road from Kaskaskia to the mouth of the Kaskaskia river; one hundred dollars on the continuance of the same road, between the last mentioned
point and the mouth of Mary’s river, and two hundred dollars on the continuance of the same road from the last mentioned
point to the mouth of De Gaugmer (Gagnie) creek, the same to be expended under the direction of Seth Allen, John P. McGinnis, and Samuel Mansker, or any two of them, the said money to be drawn by said commissioners and receipted for by them, from
the commissioner of sales of the Gallatin saline lands, whenever it shall by the said act be realized.

On January 20, the Illinois House of Representatives ordered the bill to a select committee on which Abraham Lincoln served. The House passed the bill on January 25. On January 31, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
