Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the People of the state of Illinois represented in the General Assembly: That the County Commissioners’ Courts of the counties of Warren and Knox be and they are hereby authorized and required to cause an election to be held on or before the first day of April next, or as soon thereafter as practicable, and at each quadrennial election thereafter, for one additional Justice of the peace and constable in the Monmouth district of Warren county, and one additional Justice of the Peace and Constable in the Henderson district of Knox County. The officers so elected shall hold their office until the next general election for Justice of the peace, and until their successors shall be elected and qualified. And the persons so elected shall reside within the incorporated limits of the respective towns of Monmouth and Hendersonville, shall have and exercise the same jurisdiction, hold their office by the same tenure, and be under the same regulations in all respects as other Justices of the peace and constables of this state.
