Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the People of the state of Illinois represented in the General Assembly; That James Gifford, Daniel S. Haight and Josiah C Goodhue, commissioners appointed by the General Assembly, by an act approved January 15th 1836. to view, survey[,] and locate a road from Meacham’s grove in Cook County to Galena in Jo Daviess county, be and they are hereby authorized to make or cause to be made, true maps of the
said road, signed by them, or a majority of them, and to lodge the same with each
of the county commissioners’ courts respectively, through which the said road passes, on or before the first day of May
next.
Sec 2. That so much of the second section of the act to which this is an amendment, as
requires said commissioners to make or cause to be made true maps of said road, and
lodge the same in the office of each of the County commissioners’ Courts in the counties respectively through which said road passes, on or before the 1st day of November 1836 be and the same is hereby repealed.
