Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois Represented in the General assembly, That the name of the Town of Centerville in the County of Schuyler be, and the same is hereby changed to the Name of Ripley, and by that name it shall hereafter be known and called

Sec. 2. This act to take effect from and after its passage
