Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That from and after the passage of this act, the corporate limits of the town of Manchester, shall constitute a Justices and Constables district. The legal

voters of the corporation of said town shall ^(^at the
next regular election for Justices of the Peace and
constables,^)^ elect in said corporation one Justice
of the Peace and one Constable, who when elected and qualified, shall have concurrent Jurisdiction with other Justices of the Peace and Constables in the county of Morgan; and shall hold their offices for the same term and be subject to the laws. This act shall not be construed so as to prevent the citizens in the Manchester district from electing two Justices of the Peace and two Constables as now provided by law. The citizens living in the said corporation shall not vote with the district for the two Justices of the Peace and constables to be elected in the district; nor shall the district vote with the corporation for the Justice and Constable to be elected in the corporation.
