AN ACT to repeal “An act concerning the State road from Vienna to Equality.”

Act repealed.
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That so much of an act, entitled “An act to relocate part of a certain State road therein named,” as relates to a change and relocation of said road within the limits of Gallatin county, (the same being the State road from Vienna to Equality,) be, and the same is hereby, repealed.

1On February 20, 1839, Wyatt B. Stapp introduced HB 235, originally titled “A Bill concerning the Transcribing Certain Records,” in the House. On February 27, following the insertion of sundry amendments by a select committee, the House passed the bill, and referred it to the Senate. On Samuel D. Marshall’s suggestion, the title was changed to “An act to repeal ‘An act concerning the State road from Vienna to Equality.” On March 1, the Senate passed the bill without further amendment. On March 2, theCouncil of Revision then approved the bill, and the act became law.
