AN ACT relating to towns therein named.

Surveys, plats &c. valid.
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the surveys, plats, certificates of surveys, and certificates of acknowledgments, with the records thereof, of Dresden and Utica towns, in the county of La Salle, heretofore made not in exact conformity to law, shall be hereafter considered valid and sufficient in all cases whatever, any one or more of the provisions of the act, entitled “An act providing for the recording of town plats,” to the contrary notwithstanding; as much so as if every requirement of said act had been fully and completely complied with in respect to said towns.

1On December 31, 1838, Senator William Stadden introduced SB 50 in the Senate. On January 2, the Senate referred the bill to the Committee on the Judiciary. On January 5, the Committee on the Judiciary reported the bill without amendment and recommended passage. On January 18, the Senate passed the bill. On February 23, the House of Representatives passed the bill. On February 26, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
