A bill for an act to relocate a part of a state road in Franklin County

Sect.[Section] 1^st Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois represented in the General assembly That Annanias Elkins, Joseph Moore[,] and James Dillon be and they are hereby appointed ^Commisioners^ to review[,] mark[,] and relocate so much of the state road leading from New Nashville in Washington County to Equality in Gallitan County as lies between the head of the goose pond in Franklin County and Azariah Whitington in said County

Sec^t Sec 2 The said Commissioners or a majority of them shall meet at the office of James Akins Esqr[Esquire], on the first Monday in may next or within thirty days thereafter and after being duly sworn by said Akins or some other Justice of the peace shall proceed to review, mark[,] and relocate said road as aforesaid having due regard to the public convenience and the best ground doing as little Injury ^as posible^ to private property.

Sec^t 3. the said Commissioners shall as soon as practible after discharging the duties required by this act, return a plat of there survey and location to the county court of Franklin

which shall be filed by the clerk of said court as a part of the record of said Court and the County Commissioners of said County shall pay said Commissioners out of the County treasury of said County two dollars per day for each day necessarily employed in performing the duties required of them as aforsaid and the county commissioners court of said county of Franklin shall cause said road to be opened and kept in repair as other state roads are
