Com’rs[Commissioners] to locate road.
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That Solomon Hobbs and John Deigh of Pike county, and Luke Perry of Brown county, be, and they are hereby, appointed commissioners to view and locate a State road from Rushville, in Schuyler county, via Perry, to Pittsfield, in Pike county.
Place of meeting.
Sec. 2. The said commissioners, or a majority of them, shall meet at the town of Rushville, on the first Monday in April next, or within three months thereafter, and, after
being duly sworn, shall proceed to perform the duties required of them by this act,
doing as little injury to private property as practicable.
Surveyor may be employed.
Sec. 3. Said commissioners are hereby authorized to employ a surveyor in Schuyler county to survey and establish said road four rods in width; and shall make report, in writing,
to the county commissioners’ courts of the respective counties through which said
road shall pass. Said report shall form a part of the records of said courts; and
said road, thus laid out, shall be a public highway of this State.
Compensation.
Sec. 4. The county commissioners’ courts shall allow the viewers and others employed, from
their respective counties, a reasonable compensation for their services, to be paid
out of their county treasuries.
