Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, Represented in the General Assembly, That A. B. Brown, Sebert Choate and John J. Smith, be, and they are hereby appointed commissioners to review and relocate, so far as the public interest may require, that part of the state road from Frankfort in Franklin county to the city of Metropalias in Johnson county as lies between the said city of Metropalias and the crossway over the ponds, and said commissioners shall meet at the city of Metropalias immediately after being informed of their appointment and may call to their aid if necessary the county Surveyor, and upon being duly sworn before some Justice of the Peace faithfully and impartially to perform the duties required by this act, shall proceed to review and relocate said road upon the most eligible and direct route, doing as little injury to private property as possible, and after making such relocation, they shall make a report thereof to the county commissioners Court for the approval of said Court, and upon the approval thereof, the road located shall be the State road; and the former road so far as changed be vacated; and the county Commissioners’ Court of Johnson county shall allow said Commissioners a reasonable compensation together with the surveyor if employed, for their services. This act to be in force from and after its passage.
