To the Honorable the Senate and House of Representatives in Congress of the United States.
The petition of the undersigned citizens of the state of Missouri respectfully sheweth.
That they labor under considerable inconvenience in consequence of having no Post Office near them, residing as we do contiguous to the great thoroughfare leading from Jefferson City westward via California: Round Hill, [...?] ^Mt Carmel^ Georgetown and Independence the nearest route between these points, there is a portion from Round Hill to Arator on which no mail route exists, the distance is near nineteen miles [only?], on which two post offices should be created, which in the opinion of the undersigned would pay all expences of the new additional route. We therefore pray of your honorable body that a ^weekly^ mail route be established between Round Hill and Arator, connecting mail route No 4780 at Arator, with route No at Round Hill, and your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray
