An ACT for the collection of the taxes of Henderson county.

Collector of Warren to collect tax of 1840, in Henderson Co.
Returns made to clerk Warren county
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the collector of Warren county is hereby authorized and required to collect the taxes due and unpaid for the year one thousand eight hundred and forty, from all persons residing in the county of Henderson, heretofore a part of Warren county, in the same manner as though said county of Warren had not been divided, and make returns to the clerk of the

circuit court of Warren county, of all real estate on which taxes may remain due and unpaid, in the same manner as now required by law, and to do all other things necessary to be performed under the laws in relation to the public revenue, to insure the collection of the same.

1John Denny introduced HB 200 to the House of Representatives on February 4, 1841. The House passed the bill on February 10. The Senate passed the bill on February 12. The Council of Revision approved the bill on February 20 and the act became law.
